Dr. Kent Yinger is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who specializes in all aspects of sports medicine including injuries of the shoulders and knees. He has been a partner at Redwood Orthopaedic Surgery Associates in Santa Rosa since 2001. He is the current director of the Orthopaedic Trauma program at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, a post he has held since 2003. Dr. Yinger graduated summa cum laude from Cal State Northridge. He received his medical degree from the University of California, Davis. He then completed his residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at UC Davis. Committed to attaining specialized training, Dr. Yinger completed fellowships in Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery at UC Davis and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine in Santa Monica under the guidance of Dr. Bert Mandelbaum. During his time in Santa Monica, he was a team physician for Pepperdine University and assisted with the men’s U. S. national soccer team. He is the chief orthopeadic team physician for the Santa Rosa Junior College and Windsor High School. He is married with three children. He is an Iron Man Triathlete and does triathlon races in and around Sonoma County.
