Joshua became part of the SRJC Sports Medicine family in Fall 2015 as a part-time Athletic Trainer and adjunct faculty member. In the Spring of 2020, Joshua was humbled to become a full time faculty member at SRJC, where his educational journey began (as a first generation college student). He is a Santa Rosa native and former student-athlete at Montgomery High School. He earned his A.A. in Kinesiology: Athletic Training Preparation from SRJC and was part of the Pre-Sports Medicine Program from 2010-2013. Joshua transferred and received his Bachelor’s in Athletic Training from Sacramento State where he worked with Football, Women’s gymnastics, Men’s and Women’s soccer, Men’s and Women’s Cross country, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, and Women’s softball. Joshua completed his Master's degree in Health Science: Rehabilitative Science from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in 2017. Joshua has served as a preceptor for the University of Idaho's MSAT Program, and enjoys teaching others about Athletic Training and the world of Sports Medicine. When not working Joshua enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife Lizette, his dog Leo, family, being outdoors, and eating at Phnom Penh in Alameda (best. food. ever). Joshua is truly fortunate to be part of the SRJC Sports Medicine family where he plans to stay until they tell him to leave.
